Living's bad fortune

Birds drop from the sky, bear cubs winter outside their dens, millions of fish die on the shore, all with natural explanations. But we keep looking at these events as Signs. Signs of impending doom, of anarchy and apocalypse. Every day is the end of the earth as we know it. Every day we die. Maybe this process is simply meant to be. Maybe we're supposed to accept our fate.

We're outraged, paralyzed, sad, indifferent, scientific, terrified. The only solution, the only global solution, is to grow stronger on the inside. Growing stronger inside will let us experience the outside directly, without the reactive collision of past and present. After all, how can an unhealed society heal the earth?

  1. Thank you for reminding me that I don't have to be so goddamn happy all the time. That makes more sense (and gives more relief) than anything I've heard all week. Whew! xx

  2. The clear notes of your music give others a chance to quiet down and to listen to their own.

  3. Brilliant... "without the reactive collision of past and present." I can't imagine a clearer way put that. Thank-you.
